page2call pricing

A few of the people on our mailing list have inquired about pricing for page2call. Given that I wanted to take just a moment to share our thoughts on pricing.

  1. We will NEVER charge anyone for using a “beta” product.

If you are willing to help us test, refine and solidify a product – we think you should get the product for free during that period

Having said that we think you’ll find page2call so valuable to your business that you’ll be happy to pay us. And we believe that we’ve come up with some very attractive pricing:

Standard Plan:

$24.99 per Month

  • 10 Widgets
    • This allows you to have 10 unique trackable offers in play at any time.
  • 200 Calls Per Month
    • Up to 200 calls from your customers – using the widget – will be connected to your business each month.
    • We will never fail to send you the call – if you go over 200 additional calls will be charged to you at $1.00 each.
  • Unlimited Widget Reporting

How many sales per month does this need to generate for you per month to pay for itself? Our guess is that for the vast majority of you it is ONE. ONE new customer, additional sale to an existing customer or really warm lead – I think that is worth $25.00 per month.

Having said that we believe it will be many, many more than 1 per month. What would 200 be worth?

page2call – what do these widgets look like anyway?

I realized today (sadly after the press release announcing the beta release) that we have yet to share a screen shot of the widget(s) and widget management.

In an effort to rectify that problem here they are:

1) This is the widget management view – with an individual widget expanded

widgets - view one.tiff

You can see there is a working preview of the widget on the right. Also of note is the HTML code you would insert in your page (or any HTML document) to include the widget.

2) This is the same widget in edit mode.

widgets - edit view.tiff

You’ll note you can change the text of the widget button, add a description, change the phone number and widget name. You can also do a live preview of the widget as it will appear in your page before saving.

Hope this answers some questions.

Getting it right is cool… not so much for Cuil…

From TechCrunch today:

[From How To Lose Your Cuil 20 Seconds After Launch]

For the last 3 weeks or so I’ve had some people asking me why I’m waiting so long to get page2call released. From their perspective it was better to get it out and start the marketing/pr cycle as fast as possible… after all we’d have time to add/fix everything “later”.

Cuil is a cautionary tale about what happens when your primary business BECOMES PR and Marketing instead of creating solutions that deliver real results for your customers:

The hype cycle now lasts less than a day. Take yesterday’s over-hyped launch of stealth search startupCuil, which was quickly followed by a backlash when everyone realized that it was selling a bill of goods.

This is a perfect example of why I am so committed to ensuring that what we do delivers for you… I’m perfectly happy to let that be the hype about cosinity…

page2call beta release date

We are happy to announce that page2call will be available in beta on August 4th 2008.

page2call is a revolutionary communications application that allows small businesses to turn web site page views into phone calls.

Most service based small businesses invest scarce dollars in their website, search engine optimization and pay-per click services in order to drive customers to their website – in short to make it easier for potential customers to find them. But what happens once they get there?

The reality is that most service based small businesses are interested in generating phone calls, phone calls = customers. The only solution available before today was to put your phone number on your web site and hope potential customers would call.

page2call offers small business owners a simple solution to directly create phone calls from their web site. page2call’s game changing reporting then allows small business owners to track the activities of each page2call “widget” embedded in their pages – and by doing so gauge the effectiveness of each offer on their site.

For more information please contact cosinity at info@cosinity.com

page2call reporting… another update

Ok folks… This one will be very screen shot heavy.

We hope you will find this initial set of widget reporting useful (we think you will find it downright thrilling) as you attempt to understand the effectiveness of your website and SEO/PPC spending.

Let us know if you have ideas or comments.

page2call report – sample

Yesterday I asked you to check back today for a sample report. Well here is a screenshot.

widgetReport

What you see here is a widget report for a specific day. The summary section tells you how many times the widget was loaded (viewed), clicked and an actual call was generated.

Below that you see – in the Summary Breakdown section – an hour by hour breakdown of the activity. Below that (not shown) you get an event by event listing of every load, click and call for that widget on the specified day.

We are building one-click support for the following:

  • Today
  • Yesterday
  • This Month
  • Last Month

Additionally we are including a custom date range report as well.

The Summary Breakdown section (shown as hour 0-23 activity in screenshot) will support:

  • Hour (of day)
  • Day of Week (Monday – Sunday)
  • Month of Year (January, February, …)
  • Day of Month (1-31)

Let us know what you think. We appreciate your feedback.

page2call reports

You know page2call is all about giving small business owners the ability to KNOW how effective the marketing they do on their websites is. The primary tools for knowing that is the data the widgets generate.

We’ve been putting tons of work into what kind of data is important and how best to present that data. Tomorrow I’ll be posting some initial mock-ups we’ve been working on – and we’d love your feedback.
We can not promise the chages will make the beta… but we will be hard at work during the beta making changes to page2call before the general release.

Stay tuned…

Life is what happens while you are busy making plans…

Never a truer thing was said.

This week is turning out to be a bit of an adventure. I’ve was told Monday I needed a root canal. In an effort to “just get it over with” I scheduled my appointment for Tuesday morning.

The good news is my root canal is done and – while I do not feel 100% – I certainly am not laid low. The bad news is I’m losing 2-3 days on page2call.
